April Ross

April Ross is one of only a few female beach volleyball players to win medals at many Olympics. In Tokyo in the coming days she will attempt to net her third medal with fellow first-time Olympian Alix Klineman. Ross is also hoping to win her first Olympic gold. This may be the last chance she'll ever have to do so at the age of 39. The athlete is optimistic she'll be successful in achieving top honours. Ross told NBC Boston that if they play their best, or play a great game and they are able to play well, the team will be able to win the gold medal. So I'm going to take some luck as well. Ross born the 22, 1982, in Costa Mesa California. She resided in the area with her family. Ross played in numerous activities while at Newport Harbor High School. She was a basketball player and also ran track, in addition to her volleyball skills in the indoors as a pre-collegiate athlete. While she did well when playing indoors but it was apparent that her abilities were higher than average. During her high school career she was a middle blocker outside hitter and setter in the court for volleyball, according to her bio at the college. She was named by the Gatorade National Circle of Champions player of the Year in 1999 due to her accomplishments. In addition, she was awarded the 2000 Orange County Athlete of the year award for volleyball. Ross and Klineman may be working on a project at the beginning of 2017, but Ross was already an established player at the beach before they came together. She's won big competitions with different players. One of them has become an icon in the world of volleyball. From 2007 until 2013 she played by Jennifer Kessy, who is the coach she is currently. Kessy and Ross were a formidable force in the international arena, taking home a 2009 world title as a team. The duo were awarded silver medals at the London Olympics. They were knocked out of the gold medal by the legendary duo comprising Misty and Kerri Walsh (Jennings). Ross Jennings became Walsh Jennings partner in fate as Maytreanor resigned. The pair were able to win the beach volleyball bronze at the Rio Olympics in 2016. Ross was a player for the Trojans of USC in her college years after she graduated in high school. It was a successful career for Ross in the school. When she was a freshman in 2000 Her performance was rewarded with the Pac-10 as well as NCAA Freshman-of-the-Year honors. In addition, she helped her Trojans to make it to the Final Four. She endured a great personal loss in her sophomore, however, she was capable of achieving the All-American title. In her last two years of participation in the Trojans team, she led the Trojans to winning a national title each year. In 2003-2004, she was named the top collegiate female volleyball player in the United States through The Honda Sports Award. Ross was who was a USC international relations student, was a renowned volleyball player. Margie Ross, Ross' mother, did not have the opportunity to see her daughter become the beach volleyball's biggest star. Ross's mom passed away due to breast cancer while she was a sophomore in USC. Ross holds her mother dear. Margie has inspired her both in her personal life and at the beach.
